Martin Lambert

Martin has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas business, mostly gained through a variety of assignments with the Royal Dutch Shell group of companies. His focus is on commercial aspects of the natural gas business, where he has combined leading negotiations personally with managing multi-disciplinary business development teams. He has substantial experience globally, with a particular focus on Asian gas markets.

Some of his key assignments include:

Leadership of the LNG marketing organisation for a major Australian LNG joint venture, and closure of multiple price review negotiations.

Negotiation of a new 4 million tonne pa LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement with a major Asian Buyer, as the foundation of a new LNG supply project;

Negotiation and renegotiation of several other LNG Sale and Purchase Agreements;

Managing the commercial aspects of start up of domestic pipeline gas supply in a new Asian market;

Setting up and managing a joint venture for business development between two international oil companies

Devising a market entry strategy in Latin America

Arranging financing for a start up renewable energy company in North America

Leading divestment of a renewable energy company as part of a portfolio restructuring

Conducting strategic reviews of multiple energy projects at various development stages
